Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Age Limit: 30 to 40 Years
- Salary: 1200$-1700$
- Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree (BS) or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (IGC 1, IGC 2 & IGC 3).
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, and understanding) with the ability to effectively communicate safety procedures and instructions in a professional work environment.
- Experience Required: Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) roles within operational or project environments.
- Safety Officer – Key Responsibilities (Oil & Gas Sector):
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, company procedures, and applicable international standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, site audits, and hazard identification to maintain a safe working environment across operational areas.
- Implement and monitor the Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities including hot work, confined space entry, working at height, excavation, and lifting operations.
- Carry out risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for operational activities and ensure implementation of mitigation measures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure the proper use, availability, and compliance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety discipline at all work sites.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training programs for employees and contractors to promote a strong safety culture.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor safety performance and ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, including fire safety, gas leaks, oil spills, and other emergency scenarios common in oil and gas operations.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with environmental protection standards.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including safety reports, incident records, inspection checklists, and compliance documentation.
